Position Description
The Student Financial Aid Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting the financial aid department of Texas Tech University by providing comprehensive analysis, evaluation, and administration of student financial aid programs. This position involves meticulous attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and a deep understanding of financial aid policies and regulations.

Major/Essential Functions

Possess knowledge and understanding of federal and state regulations, and how these may affect awarding, adjusting, and certifying federal, state, and private educational loans for the entire Texas Tech University population.
Showcase a broad and functional understanding of the following systems used by the Loan Team; Banner Financial Aid Management System, ScholarNet, COD, and NSLDS.
Knowledge of financial aid policies, procedures, and eligibility requirements.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree plus one year related experience or a combination of education and progressively responsible related experience to equal five years.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience in Financial Aid Office and general financial aid knowledge.
Banner Financial Aid Management System experience
Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
ScholarNet - Third Party Software for Private Loan Certification
THECB - Third Party Software for Private State Loan Certification
