Research Engineer II - Lithography Process

About the Opportunity

KNMRC is actively seeking a Lithography Process Engineer. The individual will work in the clean room and will play a critical role in the process development for various lithography systems. As part of a KNMRC team, the candidate will be responsible for developing, monitoring, maintaining, and improving lithography processes and tools.

This position will perform the following:

Design, execute, and analyze experiments to improve process capability, quality, and efficiency.
Conduct fee-for-service process requests from customers.
Coordinate with faculty/KNMRC staff develop new process steps and SOP for tools as needed.
Train students and researchers on lab procedures, lab safety, chemical handling, fabrication processes, and equipment operation.
Work with the Lab Equipment Manager and other staff on repair, maintenance, modification, and/or the upgrade or development of various tools in the lab.
Help with the purchase of tool upgrades and development of new processes associated with equipment purchases.

Qualifications:

A Ph.D. or M.S. in engineering, physics or related discipline is required, plus at least 5 years of relevant experience.
Demonstrated expertise in fabrication of semiconductor devices, MEMS and/or CMOS devices is required.
Knowledge and experience in the following process areas are required: Photo lithography, E-beam lithography, Direct write lithography, Nanoimprint lithography, etc
Knowledge of metrology tools such as SEM, AFM, profilometers and ellipsometers are required.
Experience defining and implementing statistical process control is desired.
Working knowledge of statistical analysis and design of experiments is desired.
